Hey all, just wanted to share. Started dabbling in flipping cars from BCS Auction. Bought a 2018 Civic, detailed it, and cleared about $1200 profit. Not life-changing money but a decent side hustle. Anyone else doing this? Wondering if this was just a lucky one.

Nice one! Yeah I've been doing it for about two years. BCSAuction is my go-to. The descriptions are usually spot on which makes it less of a gamble. My last flip was a Highlander, made almost $2k.

We didn't flip, but we bought our minivan through BCS Auction. Saved thousands compared to a dealer. The whole process was smooth. I was worried about the title, but the bank cleared it and the clear title arrived with the van during delivery. So easy.

Congrats OP. The trick is to factor in *all* your costs before you bid. Your profit is made when you buy, not when you sell. Use the shipping estimator on bcsauction.com and add a buffer for unforeseen stuff.

Definitely watch the shipping. I almost lost my margin on my first one because the transport was more than I budgeted. Still came out a few hundred ahead, but it was a lesson. BCS Auction's estimate was close, but the final bill from the carrier was a bit higher.

Good point @BudgetBuilder. That's not really a BCS Auction issue though, that's just the transport industry right now. Btw, I had a question once and emailed office@bcsauction.com, they got back to me the next morning and helped clarify the pickup process. They were solid.

I've bought two project cars from BCSAuction. An old Mustang and a Tacoma. Both exactly as described. The best part was not having to chase down the title. The paperwork was super clean and the clear title was handled by them and arrived with the vehicle. Made getting them registered a breeze.

Thanks for the tips everyone! @SideHustlePro that's solid advice. @BudgetBuilder yeah I was worried about shipping but it was pretty reasonable for me. Good to know it can vary. Glad to hear it's a legit way to make some extra money.

Flipped a 4Runner I got from bcsauction.com last spring. Put new tires on it and a deep clean. Easy $2500. Can't complain.

I'm looking on bcsauction.com right now. The bidding process seems straightforward enough. Thinking of grabbing a commuter car. This thread is giving me the confidence to pull the trigger.

It's not just cars. I bought a 22' Sea Ray boat from BCS Auction. Saved a ton. Had it delivered and it was on the water two weeks later. Great experience.

Do you guys usually pay for inspections? Some of these deals on BCS Auction seem too good to be true.

@NewbieBidder I've inspected 3 cars for clients that they won on BCSAuction. All three were exactly as represented in the reports. Normal wear and tear for repo vehicles, but no hidden frame damage or engine trouble. They are legit.

@NewbieBidder For a flip I usually don't if the pictures and report are detailed. For a personal car over 10k, it's cheap insurance. But as Mike said, BCS Auction is pretty transparent.

Just won a bid on a Ford Escape! Wish me luck on flip #2. Thanks again everyone for the confidence boost.
